Linda Ghio is a Creative Writing Ph. D., freelance translator, and writer with a penchant for steampunk and classic rock.

She has recently completed her novel The Dark Ways of Lower Venice, which merges steampunk and fantasy with Italian history and folklore, which has been translated into Italian.

Linda spent her early twenties between London and her hometown in the hills of Northern Italy. In 2012 she graduated from the London Metropolitan University with First Class Honours in Creative Writing, and in 2020 she earned her Creative Writing Ph. D.

She’s a digital nomad who has so far lived in ten different countries on four continents, and is now working as an elementary school teacher in Italy.

She likes cats, history, painting, and adventuring around on her motorbike. When writing, she prefers curious, unpredictable worlds, populated by weird creatures and flying machines and strange characters.
